Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic test that measures chemistry of body tissues. It is conducted with the same equipment as conventional MRI, which uses a powerful magnet, radio waves, and a computer to create detailed images. Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) has been proven to aid in diagnosing a wide range of neurological disorders including brain tumor progression, Alzheimer’s disease, temporal lobe epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury. Despite thousands of publications demonstrating the accuracy and diagnostic value of MRS, this promising technique has not been fully utilized in clinical practice since existing technology is cumbersome and difficult to implement. BrainSpec provides a robust, user focused web-based interface for analyzing Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy data that is easily integrated into clinical workflows.
